Football is just a game to Liverpool

Liverpool have become the latest team to partner with EA Sports, entering into a three-year partnership with the video game developer, reports, www.sportspromedia.com/. The partnership will see Fifa 14, the 2014 edition of EA Sports' popular soccer game which will be released in September, feature 3D-scanned members of the Liverpool squad.

Promotional components of the deal will see EA Sports offer fans attending Anfield the chance to play Fifa 14 at designated booths, while Liverpool fans will also be able to download a special cover of the game featuring three Reds players.

Liverpool join a host of other European soccer clubs who have deals with EA Sports, including Paris Saint-Germain of France, the Bundesliga's Borussia Dortmund, Italy's AC Milan, Premier League sides Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur and, most recently, FC Barcelona.

Liverpool's commercial chief Billy Hogan said in a statement: "We know that so many of our Liverpool family, including fans and players, play EA Sports Fifa regularly so this new partnership will help bring the club closer to our fans in innovative new ways."
