Southampton defender Jose Fonte is a big fan of Sporting CP fullback Cedric Soares.
Arsenal and Stoke have joined the chase for Sporting Lisbon's 23-year-old right-back Cedric. But Saints see him as a potential replacement for Nathaniel Clyne.
Fonte said: "I would like to have Cedric as a team-mate at Southampton.
"He is a great player and our club needs him."
