Alberto Fontana is ready to stand in for crocked Torino teammate Matteo Sereni this weekend against Catania.

Sereni is struggling to be fit for the game and reserve goalkeeper Fontana said: "If I get a chance on Sunday, I will do my best to repay the confidence shown in me by coach (Walter) Novellino and the entire club this summer.

"I am convinced that together, Sereni and I form a great team. He is the No1 and I am his reserve, the two roles are different and I have the highest esteem for him."
