Seko Fofana was a shining light for Bastia on the weekend.
The 20-year-old French midfielder starred for the Ligue 1 club in their disappointing 2-1 defeat to Saint-Etienne at the Stade Geoffrey-Guichard.
Fofana, who enjoyed a successful loan spell at Fulham last season, was making his fourth start for the Corsican outfit for which he received the following praise from French publication Maxifoot.fr.
The analysis of Fofana read: "The on loan Manchester City midfielder played a very good game. Confident on the ball, valuable in bringing the ball forward and very active in its recovery, he helped Bastia after Saint-Etienne opened the score by bringing some serenity and technical skills to the Corsican side's game."
The Paris-born youngster was solid in the centre of midfield for Ghislain Printant's side who lost defender Alexander Djiku and winger Francois Kamano to red cards.
The defeat saw Bastia drop to sixth, where they sit on equal points with Lyon above them and Saint-Etienne and Nantes below them.
