Liverpool are in contact with Barcelona for winger Pedro.

Sport says Liverpool have made a sudden approach to Barca for the Spain international, who is keen to leave the Nou Camp this summer.

Pedro's buyout clause has been slashed from €150 million to €30 million since the end of last season.

Chelsea have held talks with Pedro's camp, but refuse to match the player's escape clause.

Liverpool, however, are willing to pay over €20 million for Pedro after selling Raheem Sterling to Manchester City this week.

Pedro held talks with Barca coach Luis Enrique yesterday and was told the final decision would be left to him. The midfielder is spending today mulling over his options.
