Blackburn Rovers hero Tim Flowers says Paul Robinson can still make England's World Cup squad.
The former Leeds and Tottenham goalkeeper has been given the backing of Flowers, who believes Robinson would never let England down if called upon.
"There's no doubt that Robbo is back to his best," said Flowers, who won 11 caps with England between 1993 and 1998, to the Lancashire Telegraph.
"He's done ever so well at Rovers, not just this season but last season as well. I've seen him a number of times - he looks very confident and very assure of himself.
"If Robbo keeps it going all the way to the end of the season and stays injury-free, he's going to be in the shake up, there's no doubt about it.
"There's a pool of about half a dozen goalkeepers challenging for that number one jersey and Robbo is a serious contender.
"There's a big carrot at the end of the season - the World Cup - and he'll want to be a part of it."
