Quique Sanchez Flores insists he can use his contract situation at Valencia as a positive force this season.

With less than a year left on his deal, Flores says: "I am a lot calmer than I have been in previous seasons. There's no chains, I know the situation. Success will bring a new agreement.

"There's no rush. The club knows I am committed. I want to build something special here.

"We're like Arsenal. They do not have the financial power of Chelsea and Manchester United, or even Liverpool, but they do things differently and are capable of winning things. We're of the same character. We have the chance to be a great team in Spain and in Europe. If we do things properly, then once in a while we can win a trophy.

"No-one questions Arsene Wenger. He puts his faith in young players. He looks for continuity above results. We're the same."
