Real Madrid are ready to attack the January market in search for a new striker. Despite the denials of coach Jose Mourinho yesterday, Sport says his warnings to Real president Florentino Perez of the squad being short have been heeded.
Perez has given his approval for Real to spend big this month to add a new striker to Mourinho's squad.
Real will not be looking for a Galactico, instead they want an experienced goal scorer capable of quickly settling in Madrid.
Hercules striker Nelson Valdez and Borussia Dortmund goalscorer Lucas Barrios are under consideration. Both are Spanish speakers and suit the type Mourinho is seeking at this time.
