Raul has yet to decide where he will play next season, but if he leaves the Bernabeu he will do so with the praise of both coach and president ringing in his ears.
"(He represents) the identity of Real Madrid. He represents the values of the quest for victory and never giving up," Perez said.
"He always reminds me of (Alfredo) Di Stefano for his passion for victory. He is an example for the club because he has given everything."
Mourinho reportedly met with Raul for breakfast on Monday morning, but no announcement has yet been made on the former Spain forward's future.
"Raul deserves to be happy," the Portuguese said on Spanish radio station Cadena SER. "I want Raul to be happy because he deserves it.
"A player that has played at the highest level for many years at Real and with such professionalism deserves to have a happy ending, whatever that may be."
