Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has sounded out senior players about the direction on their transfer policy this summer. Marca says Perez has surveyed players about where they believe the squad should be strengthened and who they should sign.

Among the names put forward were Luka Modric (Tottenham), Javi Martinez (Athletic Bilbao), Lucas Moura (Sao Paulo), Branislav Ivanovic (Chelsea) and Lukasz Piszczek (Borussia Dortmund).

Also among the questions was who the players feel should be sold and whether the club's public image is being upheld.
