Fletcher urges Wolves not to get carried away

Wolves striker Steven Fletcher says they must not get carried away with an impressive start to the season.

Fletcher is mindful of the catalogue of Premier League clubs who have come a cropper after making a flying start.

"I was at Burnley when we made a good start and still ended up being relegated so there's no way I'm looking into our position too much at this early stage of the season," Fletcher told the Express & Star.

"We have a good squad, though, and I am looking forward to seeing how things develop over the rest of the season.

"But I don't think this league gets any easier - in some ways it feels like it gets harder. But as players, when you've been in there for a couple of years you do feel more comfortable and more experienced because you've been through it.

"I think that definitely helps in terms of coming into games and knowing what to expect from teams and probably just gives you that extra little edge.

"You end up becoming more able to grind out points like we did at Villa last week which is important."
