Darren Fletcher says West Bromwich Albion are taking an optimistic approach into the Premier League season run-in.
The Baggies sit 14th on the table having failed to win in their past five league outings but instead of looking below to a potential relegation battle, the Albion skipper is eyeing improvement in a bid to push into the top half.
"You can look at it both ways. We're only four or five points from pushing for seventh or eighth," said the Scottish midfielder ahead of Saturday's trip to Everton.
"At the same time, we're the same distance from the bottom three. We've got to stay positive, keep that level head and go again for a massive game at the weekend.
"It's a big factor in any team and we've got that in abundance. That's coming through now and we'll stick together.
"There are plenty more games to go and we're in a position where you look to the bottom but we're so many points from teams above us as well."
