Manchester United midfielder Darren Fletcher has dismissed concerns after their Champions League draw with Benfica.

Fletcher believes the campaign as a whole has been quite positive for the Red Devils so far.

"People can look at the season and criticise and maybe we are not in the position we would like," said the midfielder.

"Obviously, we would like to be top of the league and leading our Champions League group.

"But we have still had a decent start to the season.

"We had one disastrous result in the league against Manchester City and a couple of draws in the Champions League but overall it has been a solid start.

"As the season goes on, we will be looking to progress, as we always do."
