Fletcher agent brands Hibs contract offer "insulting"

Fletcher's agent Scott Fisher claims the Scotland Under-21 forward has run out of patience with negotiations over a new contract.

Fisher told the Daily Record: "Steven went to see the manager [on Wednesday] and made clear his desire to leave when the transfer window opens. It's a shame it has come to this."

Fisher believes Fletcher, who has risen through the Hibernian ranks to become a key first-team star, should be among the club's best paid players.

"The offer they came up with was absolutely insulting," Fisher added. "It would not even have come close to making him one of the top earners at the club."
