Fleetwood due massive cut of any Vardy fee from Leicester

Leicester City striker Jamie Vardy will earn Fleetwood Town a huge windfall should he be sold.

The Daily Mail says the seaside club secured a 25 per cent sell-on clause as part of the transfer taking the striker to the King Power Stadium.

It's an indication of how highly Leicester valued the then non-league player in 2012, Fleetwood's demands for a hefty cut of any future move were met in order to gain his signature ahead of other clubs in pursuit.

Chelsea, Manchester United and Liverpool are thought to be weighing up the possibility of buying Vardy following his record-breaking scoring exploits and January might present Leicester with a conundrum should one of the Premier League's established title-challengers act on interest by making a significant bid.
