Liverpool full-back Jon Flanagan has told the club's website he is determined to fight for his place once he returns from injury. Flanagan made 25 appearances at left-back last season, but he picked up a knock in pre-season and has seen full-backs Alberto Moreno and Javi Manquillo arrive at the club this summer.
"It's going to be tough but I'm more determined than ever," Flanagan said. "It's a massive season for me and I just can't wait to get back now.
"The manager has strengthened the squad with the new signings, so I've got to continue to work hard and then hopefully get a chance."
