Flamengo's dressing room are excited by the prospect of calling AC Milan striker Ronaldo a new teammate this season.

"Ronaldo is my idol," said midfielder Ibson. "In 2002, he was on top of the world.

"He is a player who can make the difference on the field. He would be essential for Flamengo."

Leonardo Moura also said: "If Ronaldo arrives, he would be earning a lot for a Flamengo player.

"But he's a great player and someone you need to play in a competition like the Copa Libertadores."
