Flamengo have opened talks with Valencia goalkeeper Diego Alves.

The Brazilian is available from Valenca after their swoop for Juventus keeper Norberto Neto.

Alves still has two years to run on his current deal, though Flamengo are hopeful of Valencia granting the veteran a free transfer.

The 32 year-old has settled on a salary of €200,000 to return home.

Along with Fla, Alves has also been linked with Torino and Deportivo La Coruna this summer.
