Tottenham defender Jan Vertonghen was delighted to be back for their 1-1 draw at Hull City.

Vertonghen returned after a two-month injury lay-off in the game - and has vowed to help Spurs recover against top-four rivals Everton this Sunday.

He said: "I was happy to be back and I felt more confident in the second half. I want to finish the season strongly now. Hull was my first game in two months.

"We wanted to win and it's a shame we couldn't. We have to bounce back in an important game against Everton. We have to be ready for that."
