Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger was back in France on the weekend.
He was in the Alsace region to inaugurate the 'Stade Arsene Wenger'.
The Frenchman was invited to the village of Duppigheim to open the stadium, which is situated 20 kilometres south-west of Strasbourg, where the Gunners boss was born.
On his arrival, Wenger signed t-shirts and posed for pictures with around 600 people in attendance, while a plaque dedicated to the Arsenal manager was on display clearly marking out the venue as 'Stade Arsene Wenger'.
Wenger said: "It’s an honour. I am a little surprised."
The 500-seater stadium will play host to local team USL Duppigheim and club president, Pierre Troesch, believes more clubs in the region should honour Wenger's success in football this way.
"He deserves to have one in every village in Alsace and France," Troesch said.
