Firmino gives up shirt number for Liverpool signing Salah

Roberto Firmino will wear the number 9 jersey next season after the arrival of Mohamad Salah at Liverpool.

Reports had emerged this week that Salah would in fact take the number 9 jersey, however, the club's official website claims that Firmino has 'requested' for himself to wear the number nine.

Salah will now put on the number 11 jersey that Firmino has donned since he arrived in 2015.
