Fireworks expected at tonight's Melbourne Victory AGM

Melbourne Victory FC will hold their annual general meeting tonight and reports suggest that there may be fireworks.

Sources say that Chairman Geoff Lord can expect a hot reception from club shareholders and there could even be a push to unseat him from his position.

Lord has presided over the most successful A-League club since the competition's inception in 2005, leading the Victory to two Premiership/Championship doubles during his tenure.

The well known Melbourne businessman is a former Chairman of the AFL's Hawthorn Football Club and founder of the Belgravia Group, the Soccer Management department of which owns 50% of the Victory.
