Fiorentina attacker Adrian Mutu has dismissed talk of international retirement after rowing with Romania coach Victor Piturca.

"Honestly I was very surprised to read that I was angry with the Coach and wanted to quit the national side," Mutu said.

"I can guarantee that I have never said anything like that and I'm absolutely not thinking about it. I haven't argued with Piturca."
