Fiorentina midfielder Zdravko Kuzmanovic is back on the agenda of Real Madrid sports chief Pedja Mijatovic.

With Mahamadou Diarra now ruled out for the season with a knee injury, Mijatovic knows he needs to stiffen Real's midfield for new coach Juande Ramos.

Kuzmanovic is rated highly by Mijatovic and while the player's agent, Marko Naletilic, has mentioned that a five-year deal is close to being agreed, nothing has yet been signed.
