Crystal Palace remain locked in talks with Martin Caceres.

The former Juventus defender is a free agent and ready return to football after fully recovering from a knee injury.

Caceres is today in London to carry out a medical and close a deal with Crystal Palace.

In the last hours, however, Fiorentina has contacted him, urging him to rethink the move. The Viola want the chance to speak with Caceres before he commits to Palace.

It could mean Caceres returning to Italy before making a final decision over a Palace move.
