Fiorentina have made an offer for Benfica defender David Luiz.

Record says Viola sports director Pantaleo Corvino was in Lisbon last week to deliver a £7 million bid for the young centre-half.

It's been suggested Benfica will cash in on Luiz in order to secure fellow defender Luisao to a new contract.
