Fiorentina striker Giuseppe Rossi was delighted to come through 70 minutes for Italy.
Italy drew 0-0 with the Republic of Ireland last night.
Rossi, who suffered a knee injury before the New Year, said: "My condition? I'm fine, we were a little tired because of the work we've done at Coverciano but I'm happy. I played 70 minutes at a high level, there are still two weeks left so we'll see.
"When you play as a second forward you need to try to get in the spaces between the midfield and the attack. That was my role this evening."
