Fiorentina striker Adrian Mutu says he won't rush his rehab after undergoing knee surgery.
"Now all I can do is be very careful during the recovery process," he told Sport.
"I hope to be back on the field in around 40 days, but I don't want to rush anything. The knee hurts and pain medication is not enough."
Mutu also commented on the earthquake that hit central Italy this week, as the tremors were felt as far away as Rome and Florence.
"Yes, we felt it. I stayed fairly calm, my wife less so. We held hands and prayed. It was an infernal noise and the quake lasted around a minute."
