Fiorentina striker Alberto Gilardino is determined to nail down a regular place in the Italy team.
"I am not lacking anything to be the Azzurri striker," claimed Gilardino.
"Maybe I needed to score more in big games but I would like to reach 20 goals like Paolo Rossi.
"Amauri is not the solution to our problems and we haven't talked about it. He is a formidable striker but for now the most important thing is the group and the three points we got in Georgia.
"The FIGC will have to decide whether he can play for us or not. Nevertheless, I fear no competition."
