Alberto Gilardino is happy coach Cesare Prandelli will be staying with Fiorentina.
Prandelli committed his future to the Viola this week on the same day that Diego Della Valle announced his retirement.
Striker Gilardino told ANSA: "The fact that Prandelli has decided to stay means the Fiorentina project continues.
"It's normal that events of this nature affect the morale of the team, but fortunately we are a strong and united group, who have never given up not even in the most difficult moments.
"The Della Valle family have not left and as far as I understand it the plans will not change. The hope is that we can keep challenging for important objectives like in recent years.
"We want to win the Coppa Italia and from here until the end of the season I want to score even more goals so I am a regular at the World Cup."
