Fiorentina striker Alberto Gilardino has dismissed talk of a return to AC Milan.

Gilardino admits he stays in touch with several of his Milan teammates, but the striker said: "I do not know if Milan need a defender, there are people who work in the market and who know more than me.

"I do not know if Milan are thinking of re-signing me, I am happy for what I'm doing here and also Fiorentina have proved to be a great team."
