New Fiorentina signing Lorenzo De Silvestri has fired a parting shot at Lazio president Claudio Lotito.
The young defender said: "After nine years with Lazio it's been tough to leave, but I want to clarify that I didn't leave because of the club, but because of the President.
"I decided to come to Fiorentina because they made me understand that they wanted me, beginning with Pantaleo Corvino, the director of sport.
"I wanted a serious project like that of this club," he added before returning to the subject of Lazio and Lotito.
"I am not able to explain everything, otherwise I risk being deferred [to appear before the FA] The Lazio President was also mistaken in defining me as a mercenary.
"I have to clarify that in coming here I missed out on two months' salary. I hope Lotito has destined them for charity. I'll find out and let you know."
