Fiorentina star Alberto Gilardino has urged the club to really go after Rangers striker Kenny Miller.
It is believed that Rangers are threatening to derail Miller's move to Florence as they want more than first agreed upon but Gilardino feels that Viola management should make it a target to bring the Scotland international to the Stadio Artemi Franchi.
Miller is also being chased by Birmingham City but the Italy star is very keen to link up with the former Celtic and Wolves man.
"It seems to be about economics," Gilardino said.
"I don't really know what will happen, but it looks like Miller might go to Birmingham.
"But I think he favours a move to us, it sounds like he has ambition to play in Serie A.
"It doesn't matter what his will is though, nothing will change until we beat the highest bid that has been accepted from Birmingham."
