Fiorentina are in contact with West Ham United for midfielder Valon Behrami.
The Switzerland international is eager to return to Italy, but has seen a move to AS Roma blocked by the club's new owners, UniCredit.
Fiorentina have since stepped in, says Gazzetta dello Sport, to open talks with West Ham for Behrami.
The Florence club want to set up a loan deal with the option to sign the midfielder permanently in June.
