Italian club Fiorentina have denied claims that Red Bull football is set to buy them out.
Reports suggest that Red Bull GmbH, the company that owns MLS club New York as well as Red Bull Salzburg and the Red Bull F1 team, had approached the Florence-based club about purchasing them.
But a statement from the Viola has made it clear that these rumours are completely untrue.
"ACF Fiorentina announce that the rumours that have emerged in the last hours with reference to a possible interest from a third party to buy the club must be considered absolutely groundless and ridiculous," read the statement.
"We also consider it frustrating having to deny continuously groundless news."
