Fiorentina owner Diego Della Valle is upset for Giuseppe Rossi over his World Cup omission.
Della Valle insists Rossi was fully recovered from his knee surgery.
"You should have asked this question to my brother Andrea," Della Valle said at a publicity event.
"The CT Prandelli has the honour of managing the national team.
"Rossi is a great player. He is very generous and was ready to go. What matters most is the attitude of a player on the pitch, as opposed to the predictions of a hundred professors and a thousand mothers!"
