Fiorentina have named Delio Rossi as new coach.

Former Palermo coach Rossi has signed a contract until June 2013 just a matter of months after ending his relationship with the Rosanero.

The Viola dismissed Sinisa Mihajlovic last night after a day of crisis talks between club officials and the Serbian tactician.

It's understood that sporting director Pantaleo Corvino met with Mihajlovic yesterday requesting him to resign. The former Bologna man refused.
