Fiorentina have made a cheeky bid for Livorno star Antonio Candreva.

Livorno approached Fiorentina yesterday about taking two of their reserve players, Vlada Avramov and Cesare Natali, off their hands in January. An outright sale for goalkeeper Avramov and a loan for defender Natali was discussed.

Fiorentina sports chief Pantaleo Corvino was ready to agree terms, but when he asked to take the 50 per cent of Candreva's registration owned by Livorno, the deal collapsed.

Candreva is in co-ownership between Livorno and Udinese.
