Fiorentina are locked in transfer talks with Catania over Maxi Lopez.

Catania are prepared to sell the former Barcelona hitman, but a compromise over a fee has yet to be reached.

The Tuscan giants, who should net in excess of €11m for Alberto Gilardino, have so far offered €8m for the South American.

Catania, meanwhile, are asking for €10m.
