Fiorentina goalkeeper Sebastien Frey admits he could've signed for AC Milan this summer.

"There was a possibility, but Fiorentina has done everything to keep me here," said Frey. "I want to stay and in a few days I will renew my contract."

Asked about Nelson Dida's problems at Milan, Frey added: "A few years ago Dida was the best goalkeeper in the world, but he's recently dropped off.

"He has lost some security and tranquility, but at 30 years of age you can't doubt him, he has great quality and can return to be a great player."
