Fiorentina are interested in Real Madrid midfielder Fernando Gago.

Viola sports director Pantaleo Corvino wants to set up a loan deal to the end of the season for Gago when the market reopens in January.

Corvino hopes to take advantage of Real's interest in Fiorentina left-back Juan Manuel Vargas to open talks about Argentina international Gago.

Only this week, Real legend Roberto Carlos gave his approval for Vargas to be signed by his old club.
