Fiorentina fullback Juan Manuel Vargas has played down talk of a move to Real Madrid.

The Peru international is being tracked by Real, with reports of an approach having already been made.

But Vargas insisted last night: "No, Real Madrid has never contacted me. No, I assure you it is all lies. None of this has happened."
