Fiorentina fullback Juan Manuel Vargas insists he's not angling for a move away to Real Madrid.

Real are chasing the Peru international, who says he is happy in Florence.

"On one hand it's nice to hear that a prestigious club such as Real Madrid are after me," confessed Vargas.

"But there is nothing serious behind it. I am not listening to those 'calls' because Fiorentina are the only club on my mind.

"I am happy they underlined that I am not up for sale. Even because if I was to believe they wanted me to go then I would get distracted.

"I am happy in this moment and I hope to continue down this path. Last year I didn't do so well but I wanted to prove how good I was.

"So not even on my worst day have I considered leaving the Franchi. My dream is to go as far as possible with la Viola."
