Obafemi Martins is being offered an escape route by Italian club Fiorentina out of Newcastle United.
The striker is desperate to quit Newcastle in the wake of relegation and Fiorentina are ready to give him a chance to resurrect his career in Serie A, says the Daily Star Sunday.
The Nigeria international, 24, spent four years at Inter Milan - netting 28 goals.
And his searing pace is still remembered in Italy where Fiorentina bosses believe they can snatch him from Newcastle for a bargain price.
The Magpies may have to hand Martins a pay-off to quit but would save money in the long run by doing so.
