Fiorentina director Giancarlo Antognoni is convinced they can finish in the European places this season.
The Viola were beaten in a 4-3 thriller by Lazio on Wednesday night, but remain only three points adrift of AC Milan in sixth place.
“Of course it was disappointing to emerge empty-handed from a game like that, but we're on the right track and if we continue like that, we can achieve an unexpected result like a place in Europe," Antognoni told Salotto Viola.
“There is a definite possibility, because we aren't even that far from Milan."
On their summer plans, he added: “We will try to keep our best players. The transfer market is so vast that you never know what might happen, but a lot of it depends on the players."
