Fiorentina coach Paulo Sousa was delighted with victory over Sassuolo.

The Viola won 2-1 on Monday night with Nikola Kalinic scoring twice.

“We are very happy to have won this game," Sousa told Sky Sport Italia.

“It was a tough few days with the journey to and from Azerbaijan, but our character is growing. Sassuolo caused us some problems and we didn't create enough opportunities to finish off the game.

“Kalinic is doing very well, we are talking about a player with extraordinary quality. I am very happy for him. I chose Federico Chiesa because he was perfect for this match and I always choose the best line-up for the game. In general, we had the right spirit."
