Fiorentina coach Prandelli satisfied after victory

Fiorentina coach Cesare Prandelli was satisfied after their 1-0 victory over Palermo last night.

Marco Donadel struck the winner for the Viola and Prandelli said afterwards: "Our only mistake was not managing to double our lead. Analysing the game you can see how Palermo were never dangerous if not for Fabrizio Miccoli's shot from outside the box.

"It is true the squad is not terribly sharp right now, but I doubt many are at this stage. We have played many games and despite all that we have had an extraordinary season right from the start."

Prandelli was told that former Fiorentina hitman Luca Toni bagged a brace this evening to give Bayern Munich the German Cup in extra time against Bayer Leverkusen.

"I am very pleased for him and of course wish him all the best in his career."
