Fiorentina coach Cesare Prandelli insists they're in Glasgow to beat Rangers in the first-leg of their UEFA Cup semifinal tonight.
"The fact we are the only Italians left in Europe is an honour, but also added responsibility," said Prandelli.
"Our team was constructed to play and in difficulty we must find the right approach. We don't want to end up defending the result like we did in Liverpool."
He added: "We are going to need a style of football that is not just entertaining, but also effective. It would be important to score at least one goal here.
"I am not surprised by Rangers being in the final four, as the same could be said about us. We both deserve to be here and are aware of the difficulties we face.
"Our attitude is very important and we don't want to sit back too much, as that will run risks. Rangers play the ball to feet and keep the pressure on.
"Psychologically it may be a small advantage to play the first leg away from home, but the important thing is the result. We have made no calculations and are ready."
