Fiorentina coach Paulo Sousa was left frustrated after their 1-0 win over Bologna.
Nikola Kalinic converted the penalty after Daniele Gastaldello saw red, but it was difficult to tell in the second half that Bologna were a man down.
Sousa said, “Roberto Donadoni's men made us work really hard and we were unable to finish the game the way we wanted to. The quality of our opponents makes this an even more important victory.
“We lacked the determination to score a second goal, but I am nonetheless satisfied. We need our best players to be in their best form.
“I think we deserve to have a few more points than we currently do, but we are working to put the negative moment behind us."
