Fiorentina coach Vincenzo Montella says Giuseppe Rossi is closer to a start.

Rossi was on the bench midweek for the first time since snapping a knee ligament in October 2011 and is closer to making his debut with the Viola.

"I saw a clear improvement in terms of physical strength and courage. I don't know if he will be able to play, as I must see how he does in the next few training sessions," said Montella.
